Faith

by Eve Decker

The sky is grey against the landscape of your heart
It’s been that way for far too long
You toss and turn waiting for a shift to come
You wonder where you’re going wrong
You call your friends, you go to work, you say your prayers
When will this end you keep on wondering
Although we try we can’t predict the journey of the soul
You gotta let it go and take it on faith

CHORUS
Take it on faith, this too will pass away
Take it on faith, everything must change
Take it on faith, you’re doing what you need to do
So let it go and take it on faith

It’s hard to see when you’re caught up in the struggle
Hard to believe you’re doing alright
Don’t let your pain make you do something foolish
Just love yourself, and take this ride on faith

CHORUS

The clouds will lift when it’s time for them to lift and not before
You do what you can but some things are just out of your hands
So don’t blame yourself
You might learn something useful while you’re down in the hellhole

The sky is grey against the landscape of your heart
It’s been that way for far too long
You toss and turn waiting for a shift to come
You wonder where you’re going wrong

CHORUS
